Cottage plans, bungalow house plans, and log cabin house plans have been romanticized more than most other house plan styles. These storybook cottage plan charmers were typically smaller homes featuring steep gables, a prominent brick or stone chimney, and roof cladding that appears to mimic an English thatched roof. Siding was typically brick, stone, or stucco. Other designs in this collection though, befit more American vernacular looks.
